About the role

The Patient Services Coordinator serves as the primary front office resource for the clinic, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered experience from initial contact through check-out. This role is responsible for managing incoming telephone communications, scheduling patient appointments, coordinating referrals and insurance authorizations, and completing patient registration, check-in, and check-out functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides great customer service to our patients
  • Maintains regulatory compliance
  • Serves as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and referring offices
  • Ensures timely communication, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service
  • Supports clinic workflow
  • Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and Northwest Specialty Hospital
  • Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service

Requirements

  • Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated computer skills in utilizing word processing, integrated database and other functions
  • Experience working in medical clinic preferred
