Patient Services Associate II - Neurology - New Jersey (Full-time)
About the role
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II position is within the Neurology department at multiple locations in New Jersey: Sewell, West Berlin, Marlton, Turnersville, and Cherry Hill. This role involves enhancing the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities.
Responsibilities
- Processes check-in and/or check-out, point-of-service activities, and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
- Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
- Verifies insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information.
- Sustains an efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as needed.
- Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, both on the phone and in person.
- Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
- Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors.
- Ability to process and interpret data.
- Ability to multitask while managing a time-sensitive workload.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in using EPIC software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
