Responsibilities

  • Answers the telephone and communicates messages through email or Epic.
  • Greet patients and schedule appointments.
  • Collects patient copayments and makes appointment reminder calls.
  • Verifies insurance and other patient data accuracy.
  • Scans and/or uploads patient information to patients' electronic chart.
  • Provides backup for other positions and functions in the medical office, including medical records scheduling, insurance verification, patient referrals, and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Qualifications

  • Ensures patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using medical software systems such as Epic.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
