Responsibilities
- Answers the telephone and communicates messages through email or Epic.
- Greet patients and schedule appointments.
- Collects patient copayments and makes appointment reminder calls.
- Verifies insurance and other patient data accuracy.
- Scans and/or uploads patient information to patients' electronic chart.
- Provides backup for other positions and functions in the medical office, including medical records scheduling, insurance verification, patient referrals, and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
Qualifications
- Ensures patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in using medical software systems such as Epic.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
