Patient Service Representative - Clinic Tower West

About the role

The Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic practice by managing patient interactions, administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient interactions and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enter patient information, schedule appointments, and process documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policy/procedure.
  • Handle inquiries and concerns with tact and diplomacy, demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Resolve patient concerns, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand and walk during each shift, and perform duties requiring the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in both Patient Services Representative and Advance Patient Services Representative competencies, as verified by department leader.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and billing procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work effectively under pressure.
