Patient Service Representative

Be the reason a patient's healthcare experience starts on the right foot. We're partnering with a well-established healthcare organization seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused professional to join their team as a Practice Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build their career within healthcare administration. This is a Contract position based out of Wayland, MA (On‑Site).
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Coordinate appointments, scheduling changes, and patient follow-up needs
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals
- Serve as a key communication hub between patients, providers, and staff
- Support smooth daily operations and patient flow throughout the practice
- Utilize Epic and other healthcare systems to maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Appointment scheduling experience
- Experience in a medical office, patient access, healthcare administration, or front desk role
- Epic EMR Experience Required
- Insurance verification and patient registration experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
