Patient Service Representative

About the role

As a Patient Service Representative at PRN Physical Therapy, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greet and welcome patients with professionalism and warmth; schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries in person and over the phone; collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and necessary documentation accurately; help create a positive work environment and clinic culture by ensuring patients’ needs are taken care of during transitional periods of therapy; provide friendly customer service.
• Administrative Support: Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate; keep the front office area neat, tidy, and organized; coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience; assist with front‑office tasks such as answering phones, scanning documents into charts, scheduling patients, processing counter payments, filing, and faxing.
• Communication and Coordination: Liaise effectively between patients, clinical staff, and other departments; communicate clearly and professionally to address patient concerns or questions.
• Miscellaneous Operations: Maintain a clean and organized reception area; manage inventory and order office supplies as needed; participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement; ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment, including daily equipment cleaning, table cleaning, laundry, and stocking supplies.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Proven experience in a customer service role; healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with office software and scheduling systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information and documentation.

Pay

$18‑20 per hour (benefits offered)

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pm
