Patient Service Representative

Are you currently in school to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)? Gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced urgent care setting while working as a Patient Service Representative (PSR). This role is a great steppingstone to transition into a clinical position upon certification/licensure.

About the role

Regional float position covering clinics in McDonough and Stockbridge. Full-time, 3x12-hour shifts (8 am - 8 pm) with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients—greet, register, and assist them throughout their visit.
• Manage patient appointments, update records, and verify insurance eligibility.
• Collect co-pays, explain billing processes, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Answer phone calls, assist with scheduling, and provide general office support.
• Ensure a smooth and efficient clinic operation by multitasking and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Current student in a CMA, EMT, or LPN program (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Reliable transportation to commute to multiple clinic locations.
• Strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
