Patient Service Representative

About the Role

Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative for our Lovejoy location. This position involves 3 twelve-hour shifts with a rotating weekend schedule. You must be willing to float between the Lovejoy, Griffin, and Locust Grove centers. Our mission is to provide the perfect patient experience, ensuring patients can “Get in. Get out. Get better.”

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and provide general assistance to patients.
• Obtain and update demographic and financial information in the computer system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain payment policies, billing, and collections processes.
• Determine and collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, past due balances, and other patient financial responsibilities.
• Maintain and balance the cash drawer.
• Answer telephones promptly, manage virtual messages, and return voicemails.
• Perform clerical tasks, multitask, and manage mail.
• Ensure facility readiness each day.
• Assist patients with required processes (e.g., CCPA, Self-Pay, Out of Network).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation to commute to assigned regional offices (Lovejoy, Griffin, Locust Grove).
• Ability to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing personality with strong telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.

• Schedule depends on department needs and staffing patterns.
• Holiday and weekend work may be required.

Schedule

Full-time position with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including a rotating weekend shift.
