Responsibilities
- Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
- Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
- Handle physician and nurse requests promptly.
- Communicate billing policies and provide itemized bills as needed.
- Accurately register patients and offer excellent customer service.
- Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
- Answer billing and insurance questions and provide receipts.
- Referral of billing inquiries to relevant parties.
- Collect payments and issue receipts based on EMR system prompts.
- Process patient discharges and handle incurred charges.
- Manage cash transactions, including counting and accounting.
- Filing and scanning medical documents and office forms.
- Completing assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
- Answering incoming calls and distributing messages.
- Assisting with other tasks as directed.
- Efficiently using the electronic medical record system.
- Receiving, moving, and stocking supplies.
- Cleaning the front office and performing maintenance tasks.
- Verifying daily reports.
- Attending staff meetings.
- Being available to assist as needed.
- Operating, using, and maintaining medical and office equipment.
- Participating in maintenance assignments.
- Providing positive, warm, and friendly service.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic typing skills required.
- One year of clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work at any center.
Qualifications
