Patient Service Representative

About the role

We have an immediate need for a Patient Service Representative in our Cumming, GA clinic. If you are ready to make an impact every day and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

Schedule

32 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM–4:30 PM, with Fridays off or scheduled as needed based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments, and verifies insurance
• Scans documents into electronic health record
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
• Checks schedules for added, canceled, and no-show appointments throughout the day
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
• Orders clinic office supplies
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products
• Distributes mail
• Prepares for next-day scheduled appointments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred
• Medical assistant with dermatology experience preferred that can perform a dual role PSR/MA
• Proficient in basic computer functions
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM is preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors
• Professional appearance and manner at all times
• Friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor; compassionate and caring in dealing with others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
