Patient Service Representative

The Patient Service Representative supports all staff members and patients by handling inquiries, scheduling, and assisting with treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements. Flexibility in handling requests and projects assigned by staff or the Office Manager is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service: acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival and dismissal.
• Respond to patient questions and concerns according to office policies.
• Answer telephones and direct calls appropriately.
• Schedule, maintain, and confirm patient appointments.
• Follow up on no-shows and appointment cancellations.
• Register patients on the sign-in sheet.
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
• Check voicemail on a daily basis.
• Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.

Requirements

• Experience working in a dental office (required).
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO).
• Experience answering telephones.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
