Patient Service Representative

Shamblott Family Dentistry is looking for a Patient Service Representative in Hopkins, MN, to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and a desire to start in the dental field. The Patient Service Representative will support all staff members and patients, handling inquiries, scheduling, and financial arrangements while being flexible with requests and projects assigned by staff or the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge patients upon arrival and dismissal with a smile
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to DCA Policies
- Answer telephones and handle patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Maintain the appointment book and follow up on no-shows or cancellations
- Register patients on the sign-in sheet
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts
- Check voicemail daily
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area
Requirements
- Experience working in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office (preferred)
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
- Experience answering telephones
- Exceptional customer service skills
Pay
Hourly pay range: $30.00 to $38.00
Schedule
- Full-time: Monday - Thursday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- One Saturday a month: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
