Patient Service Rep - Kahala, Administration

About the role

The Patient Service Representative position at Straub Kahala Clinic & Urgent Care is a full-time, exempt position located at Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate clerical and reception responsibilities for patients and their families.
• Register, admit, update, and create patients' medical records accurately and timely.
• Process professional/technical fees generated by department providers.
• Perform cash handling and collection duties.
• Act as a liaison between patients and professional staff.
• Engage patients through the MyChart patient portal to manage their health and appointments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clerical support in a healthcare setting or related experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Sensitive and helpful personality.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work effectively under minimal supervision.
• A commitment to creating a healthier Hawai'i.

Skills

• Basic medical terminology.
• Experience with EPIC.

Pay

Pay range for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity. The pay range is 24.83 - 26.14 USD per hour.

Schedule

The work schedule is Day/Evening, 8 hours.
