Patient Service Lead
Culinary Services Group is hiring a full time Patient Service Lead position at Central State Hospital, located at 10510 LaGrange Road, Louisville, KY 40223. The schedule is full time, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm and 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, every other weekend, and Monday and Friday from 6:00 am - 6:30 pm. Details will be provided during the interview.
- Requirement: Prior food service and healthcare experience required.
- Pay Range: $18.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
Patient Services Leads are responsible for coordinating patient meal service and special requests and needs for the Patient Dining Program. They supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure proper staffing and service. They interact with nursing staff to address patient meal selection, tray completion, and delivery issues. They assist dietitians and adhere to facility policies and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee systems and processes to ensure strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program are met.
- Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide quality services, including menu assistance and tray handling.
- Determine and implement menu alternatives for patients with dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Communicate patient needs to appropriate personnel and follow department procedures.
- Aid dietitians in managing patients with special dietary needs.
- Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
- Comply with HACCP guidelines and health/sanitation regulations.
- Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required.
- Conduct daily team meetings using Morrison’s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and read documents related to safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation instructions.
- Aptitude for operating hospital ADT systems and other computer-based systems managing patient care records.
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
