Patient Service/Front Desk Coordinator Part Time
About the role
As a Patient Service Coordinator at MyEyeDr., you play an essential role by providing personalized patient experiences through the coordination and management of our front desk during check-in/out. No optical experience is required; you will receive training and tools to learn about an industry that delivers a best-in-class experience to help patients see and live their best lives. This role reports to the Office General Manager. Some weekend and evening shifts are required.
For locations in the Virginia counties of Arlington, Alexandria City, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas City, Stafford, Fauquier, Clarke, Culpeper, and Spotsylvania, the wage range for this position is $17.00–$21.80 hourly, based on experience and office location. For all other counties in Virginia, the wage range is $15.00–$18.95 hourly, based on experience and office location. The company complies with all state and local wage and hour laws, and the minimum pay range will always be at or above the applicable minimum wage.
Responsibilities
- Provide patients with a personalized check-in/out process that creates a timely, seamless, and positive experience.
- Become a subject matter expert in insurance plans to help verify and educate patients on options as they check in/out for appointments.
- Assist in appointment confirmations and patient outreach in partnership with doctor availability.
- Manage multiple phone lines, greet patients and walk-ins, schedule appointments, and assist with office staff duties as needed.
- Cross-train in other office support roles such as Eyewear Consultants and Optometric Technicians, depending on office needs.
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
- Experience in a front desk, reception, or customer-facing role supporting administrative duties and clerical tasks.
- Organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure while providing best-in-class service to patients and office staff.

Pay
For locations in the Virginia counties of Arlington, Alexandria City, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas City, Stafford, Fauquier, Clarke, Culpeper, and Spotsylvania: $17.00–$21.80 hourly, based on experience and office location.
