Key Responsibilities
- Quickly and accurately handles incoming calls providing patients with an exceptional patient experience
- Schedules patients seamlessly across multiple clinics and providers within the organization
- Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of patient requests
- Routes calls or messages to the appropriate staff or clinic members
- Complies with Provider Scheduling Templates
- Updates patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Fulfills all policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience handling patient interactions or assisting in a healthcare clinic or hospital setting
- Experience working with medical insurance plans, especially Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial types
- Experience working in a podiatry or orthopedic practice is a plus
- An exceptional customer service orientation with an empathetic, compassionate, and professional demeanor
- Tenacious problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at effective solutions quickly
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Effective communication skills, including strong written communication skills and proficiency in using computer systems
- Experience working with the eClinical Works EMR system is preferred
- Demonstrated motivation and dedication with a stable work history
Pay and Schedule
