Patient Coordinator - Women’s Health
Essen Health Care is seeking a Patient Coordinator - Women’s Health to join our Call Center team. This role is responsible for managing inbound/outbound patient communications, scheduling appointments, and supporting care coordination for women’s health services.
- Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for Women’s Health services (OB/GYN, prenatal, etc.)
- Provide patients with accurate information regarding services, providers, and locations
- Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility
- Career coordination, including referrals and test scheduling
- Address patient inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
- Document all interactions accurately in the EMR system
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient experience
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a healthcare call center
- Experience in Women’s Health, OB/GYN, or Care Coordination (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage high call volumes in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (eCW, Epic, or similar, preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish preferred (not required)
