Patient Scheduler - Radiology - Full Time

About the role

Scheduling and coordinating complex Interventional Radiology procedures, ensuring accurate use of medical terminology and compliance with protocols.

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures across multiple departments using various software (EPIC, UChart, Radiant).
• Coordinate with physicians and facilities for special procedures and obtain necessary patient information.
• Verify radiology orders for accuracy, including patient details, diagnosis, and provider signatures.
• Notify insurance verifiers of appointments, pending authorizations, and scan relevant documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, referring physicians, and radiologists regarding appointments and rescheduling.
• Manage physician order queues, schedule callbacks, and ensure timely appointment scheduling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in outpatient or clinical settings.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with computer applications (MS Office, Outlook, Access).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with excellent customer service abilities.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations, assist patients of all ages, and maintain professionalism.
