Hourly pay range: $17.05 - $23.85. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
About the Role
Full-time position: 36 hours per week. Day shift (7:00 AM to 7:30 AM) with rotating every other weekend and holiday.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Certification: Care Companion class completion, which includes on-the-job training, within two weeks of position start date
- CPR BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Ability to read, exchange information with patients and others, and/or perform basic arithmetic
- Basic analytical ability to read and understand simple instructions, enter data into logs, charts, records, maintain files, etc.
- Basic communication skills to exchange information on factual matters, understand and transmit instructions, and perform duties requiring communication
- Patience and compassion for tasks such as listening to patient worries and concerns
- Physical stamina to remain alert, awake, and attentive to patients, regardless of assigned shift
- Must be available to work assigned shifts
- Ability to lift and position patients, and work in a confined area for two or more hours
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision of the department manager, clinical leader, or charge nurse, observe and monitor the condition of patients
- Provide patients in need of supervision with compassionate and caring attention while ensuring a safe environment
Work Environment
Work is performed under close supervision or in accordance with specific and detailed instructions or procedures. Work is generally performed in a clinical environment where the employee must adhere to unit and patient-specific safety and infection control precautions.
