Patient Safety Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Patient Safety Coordinator to help us reach the highest quality patient care. In this role, you will assist in managing the Patient Safety Program under the direction of the Director of Patient Safety. You will support the patient safety team in developing a culture of safety and identifying opportunities and initiatives to enhance patient safety. Additionally, you will aid in the development of strategic and operational plans to build a prospective, proactive, loss prevention, and harm reduction patient safety program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Patient Safety Program.

• Support the development of strategic and operational plans for a proactive patient safety program.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse preferred or Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
• Three to five years’ experience in acute care or patient safety risk management setting preferred.
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification, current or obtain within 18 months of hire.
