About the role
Patient Safety Attendants are needed to maintain a safe environment and observe patients as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe environment and remain with patient always to provide the appropriate level of observation to patient as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Appropriately document information that is required during the patient observation experience.
- Perform handoff communication with the Registered Nurse regarding pertinent patient information.
- Absorb and communicate immediate patient safety, patient care, and staff needs to the licensed nurse.
- Foster positive and professional communication between patients and staff.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support Certification required.
- CPI certification required prior to conducting patient observation.
Qualifications
- Work requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms.
- Must have manual and finger dexterity.
- Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of basic patient observation techniques.
- Understanding of hospital policies and procedures.

Pay
Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training. Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate's job. Opportunity for annual increases based on performance.
Schedule
PRN: Minimum of 36-hours worked within a 6-week scheduling period.
