Patient Representative

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Check-in patients, verify and update demographic and insurance information in the medical record.
• Collect payments and enter charges into the computer system.
• Register new patients into the computer system and verify all patients’ addresses, telephone numbers, and insurance information.
• Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and convey information to appropriate parties.
• Maintain proficiency with medical office technology systems.
• Keep work area and reception area neat and orderly.
• Advise the Office Manager of problems and concerns in the Front Office and assist in problem-solving.
• Attend educational and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to foster a team approach, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff cooperation.
• Support clinic efficiency and cohesion.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a front office using Medical Management software.
• Typing or data entry at 40 words per minute.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and coding.
