Patient Relations Rep II - Front Office - FPG Neurosurgery, Sarasota

About the role

The Patient Relations Rep II is responsible for patient related activities within the office including patient scheduling, patient check-in, checkout, and follow up activities/communications. This position acts as a liaison between the physician, patient, the office and insurance company. Handles collections of monies from patient at time of checkout. Meets all compliance standards. Observes strict confidentiality in dealing with patients and patient information.

Requirements

• Some college or vocational training.
• One (1) year of experience in a physician office.
• Knowledge of EHR/EMR.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Skills in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Access).
• A professional, neat appearance with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of third party payers.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or Certificate. A copy or photo of your High School Diploma or GED is required prior to start - or transcripts showing date of completion/graduation (this is collected during our onboarding process).

Benefits

Office is open 8am-3pm on Fridays - end time on Fridays may flex between 3pm and 4pm.

Day shift - Typically 730-430 or 800-500 shifts. Times may flex as needed based on breaks/lunch schedule.
