Patient Registration Specialist - Hybrid Sun Valley

A Day in the Life

At Option Care Health, you’ll engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to facilitate their transition to Option Care Health services. Your role involves coordinating discharges, preparing new referrals, securing upfront payments, and ensuring clean claims and denial management.

Job Responsibilities

• Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Creates, communicates, and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
• Sets up patient’s upfront payment, assisting them in finding payment options and directing them to financial assistance programs.
• Supports ongoing activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on missing paperwork).
• Assists Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.

Basic Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in related experience.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and high degree of quality focus.
• High degree of customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operations functions.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests

• Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The pay range is $22.55-$32.63.
