Patient Registration Specialist - Hybrid, Santa Fe Springs

About the Role

As the Specialist, Patient Registration, you will facilitate new patients’ transition to Option Care Health services, delivering a consistent onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel the process is seamless. You will work with Sales, pharmacy, and nursing teams to coordinate discharges and ensure all aspects of the patient’s transition to home or alternate infusion sites (AIS) are handled efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery services.
• Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secure patient’s upfront payment, including assisting patients in finding payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs when needed.
• Support ongoing activities to ensure clean claims, manage holds, and resolve denials by following up on missing paperwork.
• Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of quality focus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales and operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous healthcare or medical billing experience.

Pay

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. Pay range is $22.55–$32.63 per hour.
