About the role

The Patient Registration Coordinator is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. We seek a happy, responsible individual who takes initiative and thrives as a team player, setting a positive tone for patients. This role offers the opportunity to create a wonderful patient experience and serves as the bridge between the front and back of the office, supporting patients, staff, and doctors in various ways. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival
  • Obtain and review insurance information for accuracy, routing it to the appropriate staff member
  • Distribute paperwork to patients based on their needs, answer routine questions, and review paperwork for accuracy upon return
  • Update patient status in the computer according to established guidelines
  • Verify insurance and frequencies as needed
  • Assist with attaching payments, sending claims, and checking billable X-rays
  • Clean and maintain the front office area and lobby
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Dental experience required

  • Multi-Tasker: Ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently
  • Communication: Effective communication with the clinical team, patients, responsible parties, and staff

Schedule

Monday–Friday at Avenue Dental Brownwood.
