About the role
Rural Psychiatry Associates is seeking a Patient Registration Coordinator to join their growing team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient registration and access to services, contributing to the mission of delivering high-quality mental health care to underserved communities.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional first impression.
- Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in personal, medical, and insurance details.
- Collapse Coordinate appointments, schedule, confirm, and provide reminders for patient visits.
- Support telehealth services, educating patients on the process and providing technical assistance as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in scheduling appointments preferred, especially in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Qualifications
