Job Summary
Pali Momi Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider serving Central and West O'ahu, seeks a Senior Patient Registrar to join our dedicated team. With a focus on providing exceptional customer service and managing patient admissions, this role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
About the Role
The Senior Patient Registrar coordinates the scheduling and efforts of Patient Registrars, manages bed assignments, and oversees the completion of preliminary authorization/verification. This position also involves auditing and reporting on pre-registration, registration, quality management, and admissions requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling and efforts of Patient Registrars
- Manage bed assignments and preliminary authorization/verification
- Audit and report on pre-registration, registration, quality management, and admissions requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate patient registration and admissions processes
- Facilitate efficient and helpful registration service for patients and external/internal customers
- Provide assistance in obtaining patient personal, financial, and insurance information
- Ensure quality guest experience through prompt evaluation and triage in the emergency room
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Business or Health Care field related to patient admissions and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Two (2) years patient admissions or patient registration experience
