Job Summary and Qualifications
The Patient Registrar Float position requires 1 year of related experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Interview patients at workstations or at bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
- Interview patients for all pertinent account information and verify insurance coverage.
- Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
- Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
- Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
- Absorb necessary signatures for treatment, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services.
- Secure all necessary identification and insurance cards.
- Understand/explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment of account.
Qualifications
- 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
