Location: Brooklyn, New York (Bay Ridge). Shift: Day.

Responsibilities
- Obtain demographic details and insurance information.
- Ensure proper scheduling.
- Record patient history while obtaining pre‑certification and authorization for patients.
- Serve as a calm and reassuring presence for patients navigating their hospital experience.
Requirements
- 1+ year of clerical experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Superior customer service skills.
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
- Detail‑oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.
- Ability to multi‑task and perform various registration duties efficiently.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations, and medical terminology.
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of coding: ICD‑9, CPT‑4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
- Familiarity with EPIC.
Pay
Salary range: $34.30 – $40.55 per hour.
Schedule
Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week; varied hours 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday–Friday with alternate Saturdays.
