About the role
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Patient Observer to join our team at Saint Mary’s Hospital. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional observation and reporting of patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for constant bedside observation of patients
- Accurate reporting of all observations made on patients
- Meets/greets patients/families/visitors in a pleasant manner assisting them with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay
- Able to show compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and transparent communication with patients and families
- Performs various duties related to patient assistance and experience, patient transportation, and the cleaning and stocking of the Emergency Department
- Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate is required
- Current BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
- Assault Reduction Training
Schedule
- Part-time, 24 hours per week
- Day shift, 8-hour shift (7 am to 3:30 pm)
- Includes holidays and weekends as scheduled
