Responsibilities
- Provide support and oversight to the Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP), including direct supervision of Peer Recovery Support staff;
- Conducts weekly group supervision and meets with assigned staff individually on a regular basis to address;
- Participates in team-based care and shared decision-making, collaborates with other staff members to support the individual achieve recovery;
- Navigates services with the Interim Management Entity (IME), substance abuse treatment providers and other social service providers according to the needs and preferences of the survivor;
- Supports and empowers survivors to make informed treatment decisions. Demonstrates ongoing knowledge of substance abuse treatment providers to help survivor access their preferred treatment providers;
- Develops a recovery plan and supports the survivor;
- Supports individual in exploring community resources/social supports and provides referrals as necessary;
- Trains stakeholders, such as ED hospital staff, in proper protocols and procedures regarding the program;
- Documents all interactions with the individual and communicates with the team, maintains accurate and up-to-date information in the individual’s electronic health record and state-reporting database;
- Promotes consumer-driven services and recovery-orientated environment; assists individual and their family in making decisions, taking action and treatment planning. Provides education and information to the individual and their family;
- Provides 24/7 on-call support for the program and assists with additional coverage during program hours with high volume;
- Performs program evaluation by reviewing quarterly reports, continuously monitors program outcomes and objectives and communicates with third-party evaluator as necessary and required;
- Recruiting, training, and developing a highly motivated and effective team;
- Provides guidance, leadership, and coaching to employees and ensures timely feedback, including performance appraisals;
- Ensures all aspects of the program adhere to necessary agency and state licensing policies and procedures;
- Participate in committees as appointed internally and in the community;
- Responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with DMHAS representatives and other community representatives;
- All other appropriate duties that contribute to the success of the OORP program, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in the human services, or related field, required; Masters Degree preferred;
- At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health;
- Supervisory experience preferred;
- Valid Driver's License required.

Qualifications
- Programs funded through SAMHSA must follow federal guidelines for a drug free workplace.
