Patient Mobility Tech

About the Role

The Patient Mobility Associate performs mobility techniques according to departmental protocols and standards. This role includes educating patients and families on the need for repositioning, encouraging independent repositioning when possible, and providing timely, courteous, and competent patient transportation. Additionally, the associate performs messenger services such as retrieving and delivering products and equipment, and assists nursing and ancillary personnel to facilitate patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients who require turning and repositioning.
• Provide explanations to patients regarding repositioning plans.
• Identify conditions that prevent patients from repositioning themselves.
• Transport patients as needed in a timely, courteous, and competent manner.
• Perform messenger services, including retrieval and delivery of products and/or equipment.
• Assist nursing and ancillary personnel to facilitate patient care activities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.10—$22.62 USD
