About the role
The Assessment Clinician at Research Psychiatric Center is responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality, patient-centered care. This role involves providing individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care through phone assessments in HCA ER's, reviewing clinical presentations for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, responding to community inquiry calls, and performing telehealth level of care assessments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
- Reviews clinical presentations for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
- Responds to community inquiry calls.
- Performs telehealth level of care assessments.
- Works with a multidisciplinary team to determine appropriate care for patients identified with a psychiatric illness.
- Provides recommendations on level of care in the context of psychiatric symptoms.
- Determines appropriate care for patients identified with a psychiatric illness.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
- Prefer 1-3 years experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments.
- RNs require a minimum of 1 year of experience in an setting working directly with patients with psychiatric symptoms.
- Comfortable working with technology and interacting well in a multidisciplinary team consisting of RN's, MD's, SW and other QMHP's.
Qualifications
- Experience with behavioral health assessments.
- Knowledge of admission criteria in a behavioral health hospital.
- Ability to quickly assess and provide recommendations on level of care in the context of psychiatric symptoms.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend hours required.
