About the role
The Assessment Clinician at Research Psychiatric Center is responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality, patient-centered care. They work closely with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Reviews clinical presentations for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization
- Responds to community inquiry calls
- Performs telehealth level of care assessments
- Works with a multidisciplinary team to determine appropriate care for patients identified with a psychiatric illness
- Provides recommendations on level of care in the context of psychiatric symptoms
- Adheres to admission criteria in a behavioral health hospital
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
- Prefer 1-3 years experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments
- RNs require a minimum of 1 year of experience in an setting working directly with patients with psychiatric symptoms
- Comfortable working with technology and interacting well in a multidisciplinary team consisting of RN's, MD's, SW and other QMHP's
Qualifications
- Experience with behavioral health assessments
- Knowledge of admission criteria in a behavioral health hospital
- Ability to quickly assess and provide recommendations on level of care in the context of psychiatric symptoms
