About the role
The Patient Flow Coordinator (RN) is a full-time night shift role responsible for optimizing patient throughput in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing patient flow
- Coordinating between departments such as Bed Management, providers, nursing, and support staff
- Ensuring timely patient placement
- Providing feedback on staff performance
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives
- Evaluating healthcare processes related to patient care and efficiency
- Leadership in prioritizing patient care
- Maintaining compliance with policies
- Acting as a liaison with patients and families
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- RN license
- Certifications such as BLS and ACLS
- Preferred experience: healthcare background, RN, ED, or charge nurse roles
