Patient Financial Services Representative I

Role Overview Responsible for determining patients' financial responsibilities for services, providing financial counseling, and assisting patients in understanding their insurance benefits and available assistance programs. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with understanding insurance coverage, co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance.Educate patients on financial assistance options when appropriate.Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information, including third-party coverage.Determine patient eligibility for coverage and communicate status to relevant parties.Address patient inquiries and concerns through various communication channels.Ensure accurate documentation and validation of patient information.Interpret physician orders and perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret insurance policies.Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, standing, sitting, and repetitive movements. Work Environment Day shift with physical requirements including frequent movement, data entry, and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
