Patient Financial Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Contacting and arranging payment for delinquent accounts through direct patient contact.
• Processing claims and payments to/from third-party providers daily.
• Preparing associated correspondence on information requests.
• Ensuring payment system files and information are correct and resolving issues as appropriate.
• Handling delinquent patient accounts.
• Monitoring the patient payment agreement process.
• Performing general clerical duties such as answering telephone inquiries regarding patient bills and other inquiries.
• Promoting a positive work culture and upholding clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of behavior.
• Upholding confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information, and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in medical billing department or other billing service.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance claims practices and rules for compliance.
