Responsibilities

• Monitor and collect the financial responsibilities of patients.
• Maintain up-to-date patients’ insurance benefits in OncoEMR and Centricity.
• Review patients’ services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness.
• Perform daily tasks related to managed care and patient financial navigation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Insurance knowledge requirements, including:
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Managed care authorization process.
  • ICD-10 codes.
  • Collection experience.
  • Ability to calculate and collect patients’ responsibility, co-pays, and coinsurance.
