Patient Financial Clearance Manager | Remote

Responsibilities

• Lead patient financial counselling and financial clearance operations including charity care screening and financial assistance applications.
• Evaluate AI-generated financial counselling recommendations and patient communication drafts for accuracy.
• Screen patients for Medicaid eligibility and financial assistance program enrollment.
• Counsel patients on financial obligations and available assistance programs.
• Coordinate with social work and billing teams to address complex patient financial situations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for financial clearance workflows.
• Monitor KPIs including charity care conversion rates and point-of-service collection performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for financial assistance programs.
• Annotate AI outputs and provide structured feedback to support AI training datasets.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in patient financial counselling or financial clearance.
• Deep knowledge of charity care programs and financial assistance eligibility.
• Familiarity with 501(r) regulatory requirements and hospital financial assistance policy compliance.
• Experience with point-of-service collections and patient financial advocacy.
• Proficiency with EHR platforms and financial assistance management tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to evaluate financial documentation and AI-generated outputs.
