Apply your expertise in patient financial clearance and counseling to evaluate financial workflows, eligibility determinations, and patient support processes within healthcare revenue operations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and assess patient financial clearance workflows including charity care and financial assistance screening
• Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for financial eligibility, counseling, and patient communication accuracy
• Support Medicaid eligibility screening and financial assistance enrollment processes
• Guide patient financial counseling related to payment plans, self-pay obligations, and assistance programs
• Collaborate with clinical, billing, and social work teams to resolve complex financial cases
• Monitor financial clearance performance metrics such as enrollment rates and collection efficiency
• Ensure compliance with financial assistance regulations and hospital policy requirements

Who You Are Looking For

• Experienced professional in patient financial counseling, financial clearance, or revenue cycle operations
• Strong knowledge of charity care programs, Medicaid screening, and self-pay collections
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as 501(r) and financial assistance compliance standards
• Experience working with EHR systems and financial assistance workflows
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient financial discussions
• Detail-oriented with the ability to assess documentation and structured outputs

Role Details

• Compensation: $135 per hour
• Work style: Fully remote, flexible independent contract
