Patient Financial Advisor, PT Evening Shift, Rehab Admissions
About the role
The Rehabilitation department at Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Patient Financial Advisor for their Gaithersburg, MD location. The ideal candidate will support pre-service processes, schedule and authorize services, assist with patient applications, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supports pre-service processes
- Schedules and covers authorized services
- May require physician/clinical communication
- Pre-registers scheduled services including coverage verifications and authorizations
- Aids patients in completing AHC charitable applications at medical centers
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare financial environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Work well in stressful environments without compromising quality and accuracy
- Strong customer service skills
- PC skills in a Windows environment required
- Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications such as Word and Excel helpful

Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $19.64 - $25.65 per hour, depending on experience. Salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
Schedule
This position is part-time, working 20 hours per week. Typical daily schedule is Monday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with some light front desk duties/support.
Shift Type
This is an evening shift.
