Patient Financial Advisor (PFA), Day Shift, Rehabilitation

About the role

Adventist HealthCare's Rehabilitation seeks to hire an experienced Patient Financial Advisor for our Rockville, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Supports pre-service processes
• Scheduling and coverage authorization of scheduled services
• May require physician/clinical communication
• Pre-registration of scheduled services to include coverage verifications and authorizations
• Assisting patients in completing AHC charitable applications at the medical centers
• Some light Front Desk duties/support

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience within a healthcare financial environment (can include insurer or public health setting)
• High School Graduate or equivalent

Schedule

• Employment Type: Full Time
• Hours per Week: 40
• Typical Daily Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Shift Type: Day Shift
• Work Setting: In-person

Pay

Pay Range: $19.64 – $25.65 per hour

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as non-exempt.
