Patient & Family Concierge - Senior

About the role

The Patient & Family Concierge, Senior supports the Labor & Delivery unit at Magee - Women's Hospital of UPMC. This position works rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support the hospital's operational hours. Responsibilities

• Destination Coordination: Greets patients and families, provides direction, and assists with visitor and patient destinations.
• Environmental Services: Cleans and organizes assigned areas, replenishes supplies, makes beds, and inspects areas for maintenance issues.
• Dietary Services: Assembles and serves meals, adheres to food safety protocols, and delivers nourishments to patients.
• Transportation Services: Transports patients and equipment, performs inspections, and records transportation data.
• Supply & Equipment Management: Orders and manages supplies, stocks patient rooms, and monitors inventory.
• Administrative Support: Completes administrative tasks, coordinates patient tests and procedures, and responds to calls.
• General: Answers phones, rounds hourly, and performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or one year of relevant job experience.
• Six months of experience as a Patient & Family Concierge or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in all responsibilities of the role.
• Completion of 1 annual contribution from these options: hospital/department committee participation, participation in departmental projects, peer interviewing, onboarding/precepting of new Experience Concierges.
