Patient Experience Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, staff, administration, and physicians.
• Collaborate across the organization to work towards appropriate resolutions.
• Support a culture of patient and family-centered care by managing compliments, complaints, and concerns.
• Work in an environment with frequent interruptions, using a creative “outside the box” mentality to problem solve.
• Maintain patient and family confidentiality by keeping information confidential.
• Communicate with medical staff and physicians directly and promptly regarding hospital care.
• Assist in establishing policies and improving patient experiences and care areas.
• Prepare reports and assist with projects as needed.
• Mentor trainees and students to grow the program.

Qualifications

• Education Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience / Qualifications: Strong communication skills, exceptional telephone etiquette, ability to work independently, hospital/healthcare experience preferred, strong customer service experience, trustworthiness with confidential information, sensitivity to and recognition of cultural diversity, ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
