Patient Engagement Specialist (Remote)

Our client operates as a fully remote, nationwide virtual medical practice. It partners with Medicare Advantage plans to conduct Annual Wellness Visits and close care gaps by reaching members remotely. The organization focuses on delivering virtual care that aligns with patient preferences, aiming to provide simple, reliable, and personalized healthcare experiences.

About the Role

The Patient Engagement Specialist role is central to supporting telehealth services by facilitating effective patient communication and engagement. This position is responsible for coordinating patient interactions, managing appointments, and assisting with health assessments to enhance patient access to care and contribute to improved health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate medical appointments between patients and healthcare providers
• Manage calendar appointments and send reminders for timely healthcare delivery
• Assist patients in completing Health Risk Assessments to prepare for doctor visits
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, answer patient inquiries, and reschedule appointments
• Document all patient interactions accurately
• Facilitate clear communication among patients, healthcare providers, and team members
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for remote patient engagement
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology, health assessments, and health education preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation preferred
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines

Pay

$17 per hour
