Job Responsibilities
- Aid in developing, preparing, planning, and executing Patient Engagement activities.
- Identify opportunities and execute initiatives to enhance Patient Centricity and build a patient-centric culture across OARS and Clinical Development & Operations.
- Maintain and update Patient Engagement project management platforms to enable effective, timely, and compliant Patient Engagement across CD&O, as needed.
- Track Patient Advocacy Group funding and engagements to ensure regular and timely communications, timely membership renewals, tracking of upcoming collaborations/events/activities as well as ensuring timely accomplishment of deliverables.
- Develop and manage new Patient Engagement Newsletter.
- Aid in identifying opportunities to establish trusted relationships in diverse and underrepresented patient communities to pave the way for enhanced engagement of diverse patient populations to advance scientific and clinical development programs and improve health equity.
- Assist with project management support for priority projects (e.g., Framework project, Project 707).
- Support CTD & PE Ways of working (e.g., reorganize CTD&PE Teams channel to improve accessibility and collaboration, Improve SharePoint layout and content to improve usability and awareness of team’s capabilities (in progress)).
- Supporting, leading and/or managing other key activities in support of the Clinical Trial Development & Patient Engagement Team, where needed.
Qualifications / Skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful relationships and use the 'soft skills' needed to connect well with patient advocacy groups; ability to express passion and empathy for families in need.
- Demonstrated understanding of scientific/mechanistic aspects of drug development as well as strategic, regulatory or commercial aspects related specifically to clinical trials.
- Demonstrated ability to partner well across multi-disciplinary teams to develop critical insights and strategies and facilitate decision making.
- Able to work with (understand needs and concerns of) R&D leaders, commercial divisions, senior management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to balance conflicting priorities among these diverse parts of the organization, and line them up behind the most appropriate development and/or lifecycle plan for medicines.
- Able to work independently on multiple tasks, and effectively prioritize to meet personal and team goals.
- Able to work across many interfaces within a complex matrix organization, and to help others to do so.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; inclusive of being able to present complex and technical ideas and concepts both verbally and written to multiple stakeholders.
