Patient Dining Associate - Part Time (24 hours per week)

About the Department

The Department of Food and Nutrition serves patients, visitors, and employees across North and South Campus, including patient meal services, Clinical Nutrition Services, Queeny Tower Restaurant, three cafeterias, and three coffee bars. The department focuses on excellent customer service and meeting patients' nutritional needs during their hospital stay.

Role Purpose

Performs patient meal service for the Department of Food and Nutrition. Responsibilities include menu selections, tray assembly, catering rounds, tray delivery and retrieval, recording intake/calorie counts, handling special requests, maintaining galley/floor stock, and delivering nourishments. Communicates directly with nursing staff to obtain updated diet orders and responds to patient, family, and nursing needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient meals to assigned areas, documents meals and calorie intake, and rounds on patients in accordance with department expectations.
• Assembles meal trays and menus following department guidelines.
• Communicates patient diets, meal delivery, and special requests with the patient care team.
• Maintains an organized and stocked galley.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required (entry-level position).
• Keyboarding and computer skills are a plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Schedule

• Part-time: 24 hours per week.
• Rotating weekends and holidays.
• Daily pay available.
