About the Role
As a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide), you will assist patients with meal selections, assemble, deliver, and retrieve trays to ensure accurate and timely meal service while maintaining compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Help patients understand menu options and collaborate with nursing and culinary teams to accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
- Manage tray tickets and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
- Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts and communicate concerns promptly.
- Complete required reports and follow infection control, HIPAA, HACCP, and other health policies to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
- Provide quality patient service, support nutritional requirements, and work effectively within a healthcare team.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
- Perform basic math and computer tasks.
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 100 pounds.
- Operate food delivery carts.
