Patient Coordinator (Thursday, Friday)

About the Role

MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team at OrthoCarolina University in Charlotte. We are a premier manager of outpatient diagnostic imaging facilities dedicated to team members' growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public on the imaging center’s behalf.
• Welcome all patients and their family members into the imaging center, ensuring they feel comfortable.
• Anticipate and attend to the needs of patients.
• Check patients in and schedule patient appointments.
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls to the appropriate party.
• Collect balances from patients’ financial responsibility at time of service.
• Perform other front office/desk duties as necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0 - 2+ years of experience working in a customer support role or hospitality field.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background and focus.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on a computer.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting.
• Medical records experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
